Boston, Massachusetts, USA has long been one of the medical capitals of the world. It has many world famous hospitals and doctors that treat every ailment known to mankind. Arabtelemed recognizes that people in other countries sometime need the kind of treatment that only a place like Boston can provide. In addition, they need to know that they will be treated with respect and courtesy while they are receiving treatment. Arabtelemed has started to work with some of these famous hospitals to provide services to people in Arab speaking countries.
We are beginning to work with the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary and other major hospitals. Our goal is to establish a site in Cairo and other cities around the world that people with eye and ear and other conditions, who are seeking medical treatment for in the United States, can visit and arrange for that treatment. The Eye and Ear Infirmary deals with conditions such as: · diseases of the eye · corneal transplantation (40,000 done in the US every year) · keratoprosthesis (a clear plastic window inserted into damaged cornea) · correct retinal detachment · corneal melts and vascularization · photorefractive keratectomy (PRK/PARK) to correct nearsightedness (250,000 procedures of PRK will be done in the US this year) · laser assisted in-situ keratomileusis (LASIK) to correct such ailments as severe myopia. Many of these treatments have been pioneered in the Eye and Ear Infirmary and many of the doctors here have done that pioneering work.
Information regarding this and other medical treatment will appear on this web site over the next several months. Arabtelemed will become a site know to the Arab and Muslim world and trusted by them. for more information or comment Email us at : email@example.comWilliam W.
